Ferrari set out to create an everyday touring car that is as enjoyable on your daily commute or during a weekend drive as it is on the racing track. And after racing the new 2009 California the 120 miles between San Diego and Los Angeles, we can report that the company succeeded on every count. From the car’s aluminum construction to its mid-front-mounted V-8 engine and dual clutch to its retractable hardtop, just about every aspect of the $193,000 vehicle represents new technology. The improved navigation system and digital display, Ferrari’s first pass-through trunk, heat-resistant leather, and complete customization also make the California a pleasure to drive.
